The City of Cullman Fire Rescue Department inspects all new construction for fire safety compliance with the City of Cullman Fire Prevention Code. We also inspect all existing commercial buildings annually for code compliance to ensure that general fire safety standards are met. Outdoor controlled burn permits and special inspections for reported hazard complaints are provided by our department as well.

Anyone who violates or fails to comply with a provision of the Fire Prevention Code will be guilty of a misdemeanor. The Fire Chief of the City of Cullman or his designated representative is responsible for the enforcement and administration of this code. For a copy of the City of Cullman Fire Prevention codes, contact the Cullman City Clerk's Office at (256) 775-7109 or Fire/Rescue Administration at (256) 775-7186 during regular office hours.
